Principia Lifelong Learning is open to all adult Christian Scientists and all Principia alumni, as well as their spouses.
Each class meets with the instructor once a week. These sessions are live—both the instructor and students are online at the same time, just as if you were all together in a traditional classroom. You will see and hear the instructor, and all the students can participate. We're adding new courses every month. Check out which courses are currently available by visiting current courses.
This unique live classroom experience allows you to ask questions directly to the instructor in your weekly class meetings. It’s easy to participate; you don’t need any special software—we provide everything. (Get complete information about the technical requirements.) Before the course begins, we'll show you what to expect, how to log in, and how to use the system, so you'll be fully prepared for the first day of class.
All the course materials will be available 24/7. You can access them at your convenience from anywhere in the world as long as you have a computer and a broadband Internet connection.
This allows you to work at your own pace, on your own schedule. If you have more time on weekends than during the week, or even if you work nights, that's not a problem. You can learn whenever it makes most sense for your schedule.
As you go through the course, you can also go back at any time to review a presentation, clarify a concept, or check something in the discussion posts.
With strong student participation, the class becomes a collaborative learning experience—everyone learning, everyone feeling a part of the process.
